Presentations

During X’s presentations to children she describes how she grew from being a little girl who loved to draw and hated to read, to being a big girl who creates children’s books for a living. She starts off by speaking about what it was like growing up in an immigrant household, learning English, and struggling to read and write in school . Then she talks about the journey that took her from being a kid who loves art to becoming a professional author and illustrator. X reads from one of her published books, discusses her process of writing and illustrating, and gives a drawing demonstration with some basic drawing lessons.

X is also happy to present to adults about the details of her creative process, from seeking inspiration to story development to illustration techniques.

Honorarium

Virtual Event Details
-$500 for each presentation per venue (A venue is a school, library, book fair or other institution)
-Maximum of two presentations per day
-Host is responsible for setting up a virtual meeting on Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, etc
-Each presentation is 45 minutes long, which includes time for questions and answers

In-person Event Details
-$600 for each presentation per venue (A venue is a school, library, book fair or other institution)
-$100 discount per presentation if venue sells books (arranged by venue in coordination with a local bookstore)
-Maximum of two presentations per day
-Each presentation is 45 minutes long, which includes time for questions and answers
